This is the ticket stub for the very last concert the artist attended and may be the last concert she will attend in her life, until things turn around. Or, until other venues, promoters and ticketing agencies are created that don’t embrace segregation, “othering” and bifurcation.
At this particular show, the artist had a conversation with John Doe, talking about her recent move to Pittsburgh from San Francisco. He commented that it was a shame how so many artists had to leave San Francisco and scatter to the winds, since the City had become so expensive and so unfriendly toward performers. He talked about his personal move and performing. It was a good conversation.
She also had a fairly intimate and pleasant conversation with Grant. She mentioned how she’d seen the first iteration of Exile Follies at the Hideout in Chicago. He was affable, friendly, respectful, smiled a lot. She mentioned she’d seen his performances on Gilmore Girls and found his narration in between scenes to be the kind of whimsy that might delight the demographic at who that show is aimed. She mentioned how she would play the breakout album, “Mighty Joe Moon” over and over for approximately 20 years and that it stood the test of time. He seemed charming, humble and thankful for the support.

The artist cannot remember a time in the last 30 years of her life where she did not attend a concert at least once a week.

In 2021, some artists have come out here and there to resist the vaccine passport that seems to be required for all LiveNation concerts and other corporate sponsors. It seems as though the vaccine passport is required for every museum, sports event, comedy shows, live music
