Health, authentic health was NEVER one of those things parents fought for. Not for better food choices as opposed to the crappy food kids are fed at school. Not for more not less PE or recess for younger kids providing fresh air and fitness during the day. Not against the elimination or great reduction of Art/Music for students, even though we KNOW how vital the arts are for everyone, including young minds. Not for the protection of girls in particular during the normalization and hyper-sexualization, female-violence within the schools. And I could go on and on……. Why oh why would I expect parents to fight for children’s health now? The ones who are fight are too small a percentage, as usual.”
